wearable objects part 1.

i am working on a project about wearable little artful objects that i make.
these objects will all celebrate a strong aesthetic and honest production.
you will be able to wear them sometimes if you'd like or maybe just display them on a wall
or hang them on a door handle, whichever feels right.

these are little medicine/prayer pouches.
hand crafted from fine italian leathers
and each one is different.
i cut them freestyle so each one has it's own special
look!

it's meant to keep your special little things in
and keep them close to your heart too!
(if that's how you're sporting it...)

simply breakfast.

lately i have been so overwhelmed with inspiration.
so much so that sometimes i don't know where to begin!
but like my mother always told me
the most important thing is to start with a healthy breakfast.

i wanted to write an entry about inspiration
(but i got overwhelmed)
so for now it's just going to be about breakfast.

i have always loved mornings and morning rituals...
maybe it's because i'm the daughter of a baker?
tell me about your morning rituals!

mohair + silk.

maybe a little italian mohair will help you get through the winter?
spring is close enough to make you think the frigid cold is almost over
but
it's also far enough away to still need a scarf!
this one is for me, but i will make you one too if you want!

sunday beautiful.

i love making
collections of things
that look beautiful together.

smudgy smokey sage, organic cotton, chipped enamel, silver and olive wood.

they sound beautiful together too i guess!

grey scale.

i'm not totally sure who this woman is but i like what she has going on here.
the length of her skirt is perfect. i love the sloppy shirt and vest. and the belt and scarf!
i would have styled it more if it were me... cinched the waist, shortened the vest, and made the scarf really long.

i also love what's happening here. that woman's dress on the right and the center parts. i wish i could part my hair in the center...

firework studies.

aren't these images amazing?

i would love to see them printed on textiles.
and then makes dresses out of them!

accessorizing your enagement ring.

i have vivid memories of peoples outfits.

one of my best friends
hannah
used to wear her watches like this in college.
i noticed it right away
and knew we would be friends.
hannah and princess diana have amazing style.
i love the accessories in this photo!
the placement of each piece is perfect.

after i got engaged i started having this problem, or challenge i should say.
i have never had a favorite piece of jewelry. i've always had favorites. like groups of things that i would wear together for a while and then reinvent into some other accessory scheme.
but now i have a favorite!
my engagement ring is the most beautiful ring i have ever seen.

i'm trying to figure out how to merchandise it with all of my other treasures.
